Most international visitors require a visa to enter Mozambique. Some Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries benefit from exemptions or visas on arrival. Always confirm with the Embassy or Consulate of Mozambique in your country of origin before you travel.
The tourist visa is for short stays: holidays, family visits, tourism, or brief business trips.
Applications can be made at a Mozambican consulate or embassy in your country, or online where available. At some border posts, tourist visas may be issued on arrival. Check in advance whether your nationality is eligible.
