About Tofo

Tofo is a fishing village turned tourist destination on the Inhambane peninsula. Famous for whale shark sightings (seasonal), diving, surfing, and a relaxed atmosphere.

The main beach stretches for kilometers of golden sand; the village offers lodges, restaurants, and dive operators.

Getting there

Flights to Inhambane or Maputo then road transfer (4–5 hrs from Maputo). Roads have improved but 4x4 recommended in rainy season. Organized transfers available from airport.
