Urban public transport

Chapas (shared minibuses) are the backbone of urban transport in Maputo, Beira, and Nampula. Fixed routes, low fares (15–30 MZN), but often crowded with no strict schedules.

Larger buses (TPM in Maputo) serve main corridors. Limited comfort; expatriates use chapas occasionally but rarely as their only option.
